knitting patterns for kitchen

Knitting has become very popular in recent years. Originally, circular knitting was done using a set of four or five double-pointed knitting needles.

The process of knitting has three basic tasks, the active stitches must be held so they don't drop, these stitches must be released sometime after they are secured and new bights of yarn must be passed through the fabric, usually through active stitches, thus securing them. Other simple textures can be made with nothing but knit and purl stitches, including garter stitch, ribbing, and moss and seed stitches. I love the new kids needles that are about 7 inches long.

If the former, the stitch is denoted as a knit stitch; if the latter, as a purl stitch. Not every stitch in a row need be knitted; some may be left as is and knitted on a subsequent row. The most basic type of knitting is called the knit stitch.

Good luck with your knitting. Once you learn the basics of knitting, you will want to continue progressing to more advanced stitches and knitting patterns.
